Dear Lynx community, 

This morning, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Tammy Ewin as Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó’s next Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Communications, following a national search.

Tammy brings more than three decades of strategic communications and marketing experience across the higher education, public relations, government, health care, and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as Vice President and Chief Communication and Marketing Officer at the University of Akron, where she leads the team responsible for the university's branding, marketing, executive communications, internal messaging, digital platforms, crisis response, and media strategy.

Tammy’s proven ability to lead integrated communications efforts, navigate high-stakes situations, and elevate institutional reputation will be instrumental as Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó advances its mission-aligned work as Colorado’s premier urban public research university and its goal to make education work for all. She is a strong collaborator and relationship builder, known for developing cohesive messaging strategies, mentoring high-performing teams, and successfully aligning communications efforts with institutional goals. Her work has been recognized for boosting enrollment marketing outcomes and strengthening community trust.

Tammy holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication from the University of Dayton and brings a deep commitment to inclusive excellence, having built teams and campaigns that reflect today’s learners.

She will join Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó on June 1, 2025, and will lead University Communications and serve as a member of my senior leadership team. Please join me in welcoming Tammy to our Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó community!
