Spring in Denver
Blue Skies Outdoors & Sports Events Indoors

Spring has arrived in Denver! Blue skies and clean mountain air make it easy for an ICB student to take a study break and step outside for a refreshing walk or bike ride. For indoor fun, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) has planned many spring and summer events. A favorite is going to a Denver Nuggets basketball game with other students and friends. The ICB students recently attended a game at Ball Court, the home court of the Nuggets team. and as an ICB student reported, “…everyone was very excited and felt the authentic American basketball cultural spirit.” After the game, ICB students were able to go onto the basketball court with their friends and enjoy a photo opportunity right on the court. More good times are on the way!
Welcome to Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó!
At the University of Colorado Denver, students are serious about their education. And when they’ve done well on that mid-term exam or ended their studies for the day, the Office of International Affairs and Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó provide many cultural, social, and recreational events for students to relax, unwind, and have a great time.
Life in Colorado
Teams in the Office of International, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó look forward to greeting students each semester and help them get settled on campus. Resources for pre-arrival planning about air travel, ground transportation to campus, housing, dining, cell phones, banking, and wellness are all available.
International students are also welcomed to campus with parties and activities to start their educational experience on a high note – games, meet-and- greet socializing events with other students, faculty, and staff, delicious international cuisine, and exciting indoor and outdoor events year-round, all in an atmosphere of pure Colorado fun.
“It’s great to welcome international students to the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus each year; we’re really glad to have them here. The OIA team meets individually with each student to help them with immigration questions, academic advice, and ways to have positive cultural and educational experiences; we support them as they navigate through their first year, as well as throughout all of their semesters at Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó | CU Anschutz—and beyond.”
