Our Lansdowne Campus is home to most of our Health and Social Care courses and some of the Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó Business School’s postgraduate courses. It’s also where most of our accommodation is based.
In addition to the Executive Business Centre, the recently opened Bournemouth Gateway Building and accommodation, you’ll find the Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó International College located here, and the Old Fire Station – a nightclub run by the Students’ Union. It’s a lively part of Bournemouth, with plenty of cafés, bars, pubs, shops and restaurants.
Bournemouth town centre and the beach are just a short walk away, and the Lansdowne area benefits from great transport links – Talbot Campus is a 10-minute bus ride away and Bournemouth train station and the National Express bus hub are nearby.

The Bournemouth Gateway Building
The Bournemouth Gateway Building is the latest addition to our campuses and the new home of the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences – although it’s open and accessible to all Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students and staff.
If you study on one of our Health and Social Care courses, you’ll benefit from a range of practical simulation facilities in this building. They’ve been designed for you to practise essential skills before heading out on placement, helping to build your knowledge and confidence. Mirroring both clinical and community workplace settings, these specialist facilities include an operating theatre, an ambulance simulation suite, flexible skills room, plinth room, maternity suite and simulation wards.
The Bournemouth Gateway Building is also home to the Weston Library (housing resources mainly for the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences and the Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó Business School), the Wolfson Lecture Theatre, the Alumni Café, seminar rooms, and plenty of light-filled breakout spaces.
And as with all new Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó buildings, it’s been developed with sustainability as a priority, with a number of carbon-reduction measures in place.
