Complete the Intake Form

Complete the Introductory Training to Gain Limited Access to the Loan Library

The "Introduction to Universal Design" course is available at no cost on the This course will introduce you to concepts you can implement right away to better support children with disabilities. Licensed childcare programs who complete the training and the intake form will be given a login to gain limited access to borrow from the Adapt to Impact Loan Library. The is a statewide library of adaptive toys, devices, materials, and resources. Limited access gives you permission to borrow from a collection of about 20-30 inclusive items. Most participants complete the online course in approximately 1.5 - 2.0 hours.

Request an Item to Borrow from the Adapt to Impact Loan Library

Once a licensed program receives its Adapt to Impact Loan Library login, one of the items from the Universal Design collection can be requested. Adapt to Impact works in partnership with the Colorado Library Consortium to deliver requested items to a local public library using the interlibrary loan courier system. Each item can be checked out of the library for up to 6 weeks. If you do not have access to request an item in the loan library, continue to the next step to upgrade your account to full access.

Continue the Learning and Gain Full Access to the Loan Library

Complete at least one of the courses in the “Adapting for Disability” series that is to upgrade your loan library access. Many of the items available through full access include an instructional video with information on how to use the item as an inclusive tool in your program.

The 5 courses in the series are:

· Adapting for Disability: Communication & Early Literacy

· Adapting for Disability: Behavior & Cognition

· Adapting for Disability: Gross Motor

· Adapting for Disability: Fine Motor

· Adapting for Disability: Hearing & Vision

You can expect each training to take approximately 1.0 hour to complete. A certificate of completion will be issued for each of the courses completed in the series.
