Purchasing books, software, or other equipment that is not covered by departmental budget

Maximum Award: $1,000 per academic year
Total Annual Fund: $20,000

Note: Prior recipients must wait until Round 2 to reapply.
Decisions are issued within two weeks of each deadline
Funds must be spent by June 1st of the fiscal year
Rollover of unused funds is not allowed
A 1:1 match is required from the department, college, professional organization, or grant (if administrator).
Preference is given to applicants who:
Individuals who do not have access to departmental professional development funds
Have limited access to external funding
Did not receive funds in the previous year
Applicants are reviewed by a committee of IRC faculty, the UCDALI president, and a CFDA staff person.
