Academic Transformation Working Groups

The multiyear Academic Transformation initiative is a review and reconsideration of several aspects of Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó's academic operations. It was conceived in response to changes in technology, education, and culture, in and beyond our university. By rethinking long-standing premises of our teaching and learning environment, we can better educate students and prepare them for careers. We also will better align with Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó priorities including making education work for all and becoming a best place to work.

The Office of the Provost in Fall 2023 announced the formation of four working groups that met throughout 2023-24 to explore these issues. In Fall 2024, progress reports and preliminary recommendations were circulated for constituent input including a November community-wide . Final reports were delivered in December 2024 (and are posted on individual pages for each working group; see below for links), and implementation is anticipated for 2025 and beyond.
