    The Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (URCA) connects Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students with the research and creative mission of the University. Through our EURÄ“CA! programs, student collaborate with faculty to engage in inquiry, design, investigation, and discovery outside of the classroom. We help with grants, student research jobs, fellowships, workshops, and 1-on-1 advising, and also feature undergraduate and graduate projects at the annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS).

    On July 30, 2024, the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) released important updates to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Guidelines. The new UDL Guidelines 3.0, which resulted from an effort launched in 2020, are an expanded version that intentionally includes the experiences and perspectives of practitioners and scholars who may not have been represented in previous versions of the guidelines.

    Reflection is widely recognized as an essential practice for learning, metacognition, and personal growth in higher education. Reflection can be integrated in our teaching anytime, but an end-of-semester reflection can be especially powerful: to help students appreciate their growth over time, to bring a meaningful conclusion to a course, and to empower students to take ownership of their learning within and beyond our courses. Student reflection can also be a valuable way to inform faculty reflection on our teaching.
